School workshops
Decision-Making Under Pressure is an interactive 45-minute workshop from Clear Journey, Inc. for high school students navigating peer pressure, strong emotions, conflict, social media, and academic stress. Rather than simply telling students what they should do, it gives them a practical process they can use in real-life situations.
45 minutes, grades 9 to 12. Standard program investment: $2,500.
The process
Every workshop is built around one memorable process. Students practice applying it to realistic situations involving peer pressure, conflict, relationships, social media, academic challenges, and everyday decisions.
Step 1
Recognize the emotion, pressure, or trigger before reacting.
Step 2
Consider your options, potential consequences, and how your decision may affect you and others.
Step 3
Make an intentional decision that supports the outcome you want.
The foundation
The workshop introduces students to Clear Journey's 7 Attitudes Framework™, then focuses on the three attitudes that matter most when a decision is under pressure.
Taking ownership of choices and consequences.
Managing impulses instead of allowing the moment to control the decision.
Making a responsible choice even when it is difficult or unpopular.
What students will learn

SEL-aligned
Decision-Making Under Pressure supports skills consistent with the five competency areas of the CASEL SEL Framework and is designed to complement a school's existing SEL, counseling, student-support, leadership, and character-development efforts.
