Privacy policy
Clear Journey is a nonprofit. We collect as little as we can, use it only for what you asked us to do, and remove it whenever you ask.
What we collect
When you request a free resource, buy a Field Guide, make a donation, or send us a message, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, email address, and the reason you contacted us. Purchases and donations are handled by our payment provider, which processes your payment details; we do not store card numbers.
Why we collect it
We use your information to deliver what you asked for, to answer your message, to keep records required of a nonprofit, and — if you opt in — to send occasional practical guidance and news about our work. We do not sell your information.
Email and unsubscribing
Marketing emails only go to people who opted in. Every one of them includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the marketing email while leaving anything you already bought or downloaded untouched.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
Sharing with service providers
We share information only with the services that run the site — email delivery, payment processing, and hosting — and only as far as they need it to do that job. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as you have a relationship with Clear Journey, and afterwards only where records are required for accounting or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will act on it.
Children
Clear Journey's website and resources are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
